Why are tickets offered on other websites?

Beware of Scalpers

It is suggested that tickets always be purchased from an authorized ticketing agent at a Select-A-Seat outlet, the Select-A-Seat phone number, online at or through the venue’s box office. If tickets are purchased through an unauthorized dealer, they could possibly be stolen tickets or they may be counterfeit and therefore will not be honored as valid tickets.

"Scalping" is a slang term for the unauthorized sale of event tickets. This practice is not permitted on the grounds of any venues that we serve. Anyone who is attempting to "sell" tickets at any price (even if it's being sold below face value) will be asked to leave the premises.

When an event goes on sale, there could be hundreds of people purchasing tickets online, over the phone, at an outlet, and at the venue box office simultaneously. Tickets are sold as long as seats are available. In some instances, the promoter could have sold tickets to "Artists Fan Clubs" or they may elect to hold seats reducing the number of tickets available to the public.

Why are there limits on how many tickets I can purchase?

The promoter or artist's management team will determine a ticket limit in order to provide ticket access to as many fans as possible. Ticket limits vary depending upon the event or the anticipated demand for tickets.
